EDUCATE. COLLABORATE. CULTIVATE.
Arts Evolution is dedicated to sharing the transformative power of art with the community. Because art is a window into the worlds of self and others, it is about sharing experiences and ideas. Art opens, reveals, and connects, which makes it a powerful agent of change. Co-founders, Christie Chandler and Heather Moore, are passionate about promoting the arts in Jacksonville, from businesses to the individual level.
Our vision involves addressing three key areas: education, collaboration and developing artist opportunities. Christie offers community workshops to cultivate adult’s experience with the creative process and demystify contemporary art. Workshops for businesses are aimed at exploring creativity for teambuilding purposes and soft skills development. Private workshops and coaching are also available.
For business clients, Arts Evolution will create site-specific artwork that renders the spirit of the company into visual art. These fresh and vibrant pieces create an atmosphere and experience for their customers that may be expressed through murals, interactive pieces, sculpture, video, or installation. These pieces breathe new life into the storefront and street level, attracting more customers and deepening the business’ identity in the marketplace. In effect, Arts Evolution helps our clients become ambassadors for the arts, supporting local artists and enriching the community. In addition to working with businesses, Arts Evolution will also devote its resources to bring community art projects to charitable organizations and public schools, as well as revitalization projects in underserved areas.
At the core of Arts Evolution is the belief that art matters. The joy and richness that comes with engaging with the creative process is the proof. Yet so many – especially adults – believe art is exclusive and can’t relate. This is because most haven’t had a direct experience with it. When the connection is made, and the inhibitions dropped, the conclusion is clear: art matters, because it makes your soul grow. It’s a very human way to give life meaning.
Artist and Founder, Christie Chandler, conducts workshops to give people a first-hand experience with art making. Exercises may include drawing, poetry, movement, painting or collage. Creative visualization is part of the process, and participants learn to use their imagination rather than copying others, to express themselves. Some workshops may focus more on the healing qualities of art, while others are aimed at teambuilding and collaboration. Contact Christie to talk about designing a custom workshop for your company, friends, or community.
“Stop me I’m about to gush! I’ve been to many transformational workshops before, but my experience with Christie definitely takes the cake. She’s equal parts artistic mentor, practical muse, and soul guide whose presence and creative genius helps you not only express what you want to say, but what you need to say as well. My experience allowed me to dive deep and challenge myself to grow in ways I didn’t know I was capable. If you’re ready to stop playing small and get real, this workshop is for you!” – Heather S.
‘I want to say thank you for creating the opportunity for this type of interaction, growth, and insight. You handled it masterfully. You have an energy and enthusiasm that is contagious.’– Nancy W.
